Founded in 2017, Lucky Bird Media is a creative agency specializing in public relations and digital marketing within the music industry. Over the last eight years, the company has represented more than a hundred musical acts from across the globe, with physical footprints in New York City, DC, Philadelphia, Nashville, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Portland. Known for an intimately involved, relentlessly creative, and remarkably human approach, Lucky Bird publicists have been trusted by reputed record labels big and small, as well as wholly independent musicians.
In partnership with First City Artists, Lucky Bird Media now offers digital distribution, playlist pitching, and label services in addition to the usual public relations and marketing efforts.
Jake Lanier
Jake Lanier fell in love with live music while completing a Marketing and Music Business degree at the University of Georgia. He first brought that passion to Sacks & Co, where he worked with artists such as Chris Stapleton, The Arcs, Anderson East, Rayland Baxter and Watkins Family Hour, and promoted the Grand Reopening of Nashville’s Historic Ryman Auditorium, before taking on the role of Director of Media Relations at New West Records in Nashville. There, he contributed to campaigns for a diverse roster of emerging, established, and GRAMMY Award-winning artists including Ben Folds, Rodney Crowell, Justin Townes Earle, JD McPherson, Caroline Rose, Ron Gallo, Nikki Lane, Andrew Combs, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Lilly Hiatt, The Nude Party, and many more. He-cofounded Lucky Bird Media in 2017.
Maddie corbin
Maddie’s career in music began at the age of twelve at a dive bar in the Midwest. She studied Journalism at at Ohio University before taking on promotions posts at Nelsonville Music Festival and at WWCD 102.5 The Alternative Station. In 2016, Maddie relocated to New York to join Grandstand Media, working on campaigns for Grammy-nominated and globally renowned artists like Fleet Foxes, CHVRCHES, Japandroids, Little Dragon, Middle Kids, and Blood Orange. She became a Partner at Lucky Bird in 2018 and has since, helmed countless campaigns for emerging artists. In addition to her role as Partner and Senior Director of Publicity, she is a Co-Founder of First City Artists, a boutique artist management and label services company based in New York, and the Talent Curator of Folk Feasts at Stissing House in upstate New York.
